After Hour Check In

Welcome To Smith River RV Park

At Smith River RV Park, we want you to have the best experience possible. We have taken the time to make your first impressions of the park professional and organized to meet your busy schedule.

Step 1: Finding Your RV Site

Use the below image to locate your site based on an overview of the park. Site numbers are numbered on utility pedestals at the right of the pad for sites #1-82 and on the left for the remainder.

Back In Sites #1 - 40 and #43-82

If you have site numbers #1-40 or #43-82 you have a back-in pad. Make sure to have a spotter and slowly pull past your site and then back into your site's pad. Your vehicle and RV will fit both on the pad.

Site #41 and #42

If you have site numbers #41 or #42 you have a 100ft pull-through pad. Make sure to have a spotter and slowly pull straight through your pad. Your vehicle and RV will fit both on the pad. If you have an extra vehicle adjust your RV to accommodate both your vehicles on the pad as well. There is parking across the road if needed.

Sites #83 - 121

If you have site numbers #83-121 you have a 90ft pull-through pad. You will access your pad via pull-through from the very far road while coming around the end of the park (not the middle road going back to the start of the park). Pull around slowly as kids play near that road. When you locate your site number one utility pedestal you will swing pull through your pad on the right of the pedestal of your site number. Position your RV and vehicles however you prefer on your pad. These pads will hold a 50' RV and two 20ft vehicles.

Family Site #122

This is a unique campsite that allows temporary tent camping for the family at the site or increased privacy/yard space around the camper. The design is similar to a pull-through but in a horseshoe shape to maximize space for the area surrounding it. Start down the middle road and pull through the first entrance to your pad until you are satisfied with the direction and position of your camper/vehicles.

Tent Sites (Not Pictured)

Tent sites are located along the river between the Bathhouse and the River Access. Pick the site that best suites your needs. Parking is at the Bathhouse, River Access currently. We will be putting in another parking area to the right of the play area.

Step 2: Familiarizing Yourself With The Campground

Please see the below map to locate the various locations in the park to familiarize yourself with our amenities.

Please note 10 mph is max speed limited throughout the park and entrance to the park. Please follow directional signs in the park when navigating through the park. Spaces are numbered in order and serpentine back down the rows.

2 - Storage Building: This is a storage building on the property we used to maintain the park. This building is off limits to campers.

3 - Onsite Propane Refilling Station: This is the area where we service campers and the public’s propane tanks. Campers are encouraged to use the propane dropoff program if it is not an emergency.

4 - Dumpster Access: Drop off your household trash at any time. Please no items other than household items that fit in a kitchen bag. There are multiple locations in Henry County (our county) to throw away various large items for a small fee.

5 - Visitor Parking: This location is for visitors to park their vehicle’s while visiting or oversized/overflow parking for campers. Please ensure you have your parking pass displayed at all times to avoid your vehicle being towed.

6 - 7000 sqft Dog Park: We have a wonderful dog park where your dog can run around at any time during the day. Stretch those furry legs and have fun throwing a frisbee or getting some of that energy out of your pup.

7 - Pavilion: Enjoy a shaded/sheltered area to BBQ, have a family/friend get together for free. Check in with the front office if you would like to book a timeframe for an event. Camper’s guest area free to use this area as well accompanied with a camper. Please check in at the office if your guest will be staying overnight.

8 - Bathhouse: The Bathhouse has coin based laundry units (phasing out) and new PayRange enabled laundry units. PayRange is an app that you can use from your phone to pay with Apple/Google Pay or use your credit card. No need to run to the bank for coins or visit the general store. You can easily download the app and turn on your bluetooth to access the washer and dryers you would like to use. In addition to laundry are showers and bathroom access. Please note you will need your keyfob to access the bathhouse for security reasons.

9 - Horseshoe, Corn Hole, Volleyball Area: Enjoy some horseshoes, corn hole or volleyball with friends and family (during the spring, summer, fall time period). You can check out any items you might need from the office during office hours. Just remember to return them to the office for other campers to use.

10 - Playground: If you have kids this is the area they can have fun and get some of that energy out. We are planning a big overhaul of the kid area soon once we get more funding so they have even more things to do during the day.

11 - River Access: If you have a boat or want to get access to the river to enjoy Smith River, this is the place to get in at. It's also our pickup spot for tubers and kayakers with Smith River Adventure. Enjoy the water with your family, fish or even catch a tan. It's a beautiful area to enjoy and peaceful.

12 - Butterfly Garden/Nature Path: This is a beautiful short walk to enjoy the park’s beautiful butterfly garden. Enjoy blooms all year and mother nature. We will be continuing to add features here but the flowers are beautiful to witness blooming in different stages through the year.
